May 19: “Halifax at War: The Story of a Bomber”, a documentary about one of the aircraft that cadets from the No. 1 British Flying Training School flew, will be shown at the BFTS Museum, 119 Silent Wings Blvd. in Terrell at 7 p.m. Viewing the film is free to the public.

May 20-21: Wills Point ISD’s annual Art Show program, highlighting the works of district students, will be held May 20-21 at the high school library. The event will be from 5-8:30 p.m. May 20 and from 9 a.m. – noon May 21.

May 28: The Wills Point High School Class of 2022 will participate in commencement exercises beginning at 10 a.m. at Ken Autry Stadium.

May 28: Lake Tawakoni State Park, located at 10822 FM 2475, will host a Build-a-Bug event beginning at 2 p.m. Organizers stated, “Show off your art skills as we learn about the tools bugs use for survival! Join a ranger to identify the advantages and importance of bug adaptations through this craft ac tivity. Bring your creativity and a friend.” The program is free with paid park entry. No registration or RSVP is required.

June 13: The Wills Point ISD Board of Trustees meets on the second Monday of each month beginning at 6 p.m. at the WPISD Administration Building located at 338 W.N. Commerce St. The meetings include an opportunity for members of the community to address the board, monthly reports and action items related to the WPISD’s monthly business.

June 14: The Wills Point City Council meets on the second Tuesday of each month beginning at 6 p.m. at the Wills Point City Hall offices (located at 518 Houston Street). The meetings include an opportunity for members of the community to address the council, monthly reports from department heads and action items related to the city’s monthly business.
