Memorial services for Gloria Jean Hancock Elmore, 77, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2pm, Saturday, January 20, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Fruitvale and officiated by Bro. Billy Barrentine.

Mrs. Elmore passed away peacefully December 30, 2023, at her residence in Grand Saline. She was born January 4, 1946, in Clearville, Pennsylvania to Charles Raymond and Francis June Wise Hancock. On September 2, 1966, she married Luther Elmore of Dallas. She had lived the last 47 years in the Grand Saline and Fruitvale area and worked as a registered nurse. Gloria was a member of First Baptist Church in Fruitvale and was the pianist there for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 46 years, Luther Elmore; sister, Nettie Mae Lamb; daughter-n-laws Patti Elmore and Donna Elmore; two nieces, Heather Smart and Sonja Flores; and nephew, Michael Flores.

Survivors include her four sons, Dwain Elmore of Kaufman, Ray Elmore of Canton, Joe Elmore and wife, Jodi, of Tyler, and Terry Elmore of Gun Barrel; two daughters, Rena Elmore De La Rosa of Grand Saline and Mildred Mould and husband, Chan, of Little Elm; brother, Junior Hancock of Dallas; two sisters, Alice Smart and husband, Rick, of Huntsville and Shirley Flores and husband, Manuel, of Franklin; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends.
