Richard Allen Moore, 62, of Wills Point, passed away on February 14, 2024, in Dallas. He was born on August 30, 1961, in Terrell. Richard was a loving and kind individual, known for his selfless nature.

Richard is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sherry Scott Moore; his mother, Peggy Blackmon Moore; his son, Zac Moore and wife, Tes; his daughter, Riley Moore and husband, Ryan Burnett; his brother, Freddie Moore and wife, Gwen; his sister, Tanna Evans and husband, Phil; his granddaughter, Riverlyn Burnett; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Moore. Richard attended Wills Point High School, graduating with the Class of 1979. While attending WPHS he was an outstanding ball player, participating in football as the quarterback, basketball, baseball, and tennis. He also ran track where he held the school record from 1978-2020 in the 4x400 meter relay. He furthered his education at Henderson County Junior College on a football scholarship.

In his professional life, Richard worked as a forklift driver at Big Tex Trailer Manufacturing in Wills Point. He was dedicated and skilled in his career. Outside of work, Richard had a passion for playing golf and deer hunting with his dear friends Tom Malouf and Kyle Robertson. He had a love for hunting wildlife on his farm located on the Sabine River.

A visitation was held on Sunday, February 18, 2024, followed by a funeral service, both at Russell Memorial Methodist Church located at 201 S. Fourth Street, Wills Point. Graveside services was at White Rose Cemetery, also located in Wills Point. Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point assisted the family with the funeral arrangements.

Richard Moore will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May his soul rest in peace.
