Funeral services for Roger Leland Smith, 76, of Greenville, formerly of Edgewood, were held Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023, at Hiett’s Lybrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Roger passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023, in Greenville. Born on Oct. 12, 1946, in Salina, KS, Roger Leland Smith was the son of Leland Ben Smith and Verna Elizabeth Linebarger Smith.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Verna Smith, his beloved wife, Mable Smith, and his daughter, Darla Pearce. He is survived by his sons, Rodney Smith of Emory, Michael Smith of Rockwall, and Kerry Foote and wife, Tiffany, of Tallahassee, Florida.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
