Finding the ‘perfect’ gift for the outdoors person on your shopping list can be a challenge. Through the years, family and friends have given me items that they ‘thought’ I could use while hunting and fishing but the truth is, most outdoor types are very ‘picky’ about the gear we use.We know what works and what doesn’t for our specific needs.

The Wills Point Lady Tiger volleyball program endured an up and down season on the court in 2022, highlighted by several hard-fought wins over talented programs and a series heartbreaking losses once district play began.

While many cross country programs have struggled to field full teams at the high school level in recent years, Wills Point has largely been an outlier in that department. Student of all skill levels, from state-level competitors that have been running for years to first-time distance runners have flocked to compete for Wills Point despite the early mornings, blistering temperatures of July and August practices and long road trips to compete against athletes from other schools without the typical fanfare that follows other athletic events.

The Wills Point Lady Tiger basketball program opened its 2022-’23 season on the road Nov. 8, clashing with Ferris in an early test. Wills Point would find its way after a slow start, getting a big push in the third quarter on their way to a 32-27 win.
